New Website
Welcome to our new website, designed together with Duane Pitre! This new site provides up to date news and a complete overview of our repertoire and projects. Content is still being uploaded and the whole site should be more complete in June!
In 2021 we continue our Well Tuned Brass series in Berlin with 4 conversation concerts at KM28 featuring new and especially commissioned music by Arnold Dreyblatt, Phill Niblock, Hanna Hartman, Christoph Herndler, Hayden Chisholm, Catherine Lamb, Michał Libera and Barbara Kinga Majewska. Additionally we plan a special weekend featuring the music of Éliane Radigue and Kasper T. Toeplitz on 23 + 24 October at the Zwingli Kirche in Berlin Friedrichshain. The dates for KM28 have changed and are now updated here.
We have just recorded two new songs with Ellen Arkbro for Tectonics Glasgow 2021. They are available to listen to for a month. Also feature is a recording of Keith Tippett’s ballad “The Sigh”, composed in 2018 and recorded by Hilary Jeffery (trombone multitrack).

In August we will also be playing the World Premiere of Duane Pitre’s composition “Pons” in the unique acoustic of the Kleiner Wasserspeicher in Berlin, as part of the Bohemian Drips series.
We started work with Duane (pictured below) in 2019 after witnessing the amazing all night show he did at The Long Now together with Turk Dietrich. This new collaboration brings the group into a new territory, combining our signature deep brass sound with the hybrid synthesized worlds of Duane and Turk’s First Tone project (Editions Mego).
