Marisol Jiménez is working on a new piece for us - „Lumo Ene – performative installation for autonomous sound machines and brass instruments“. This new work is an immersive sound environment in which three autonomous sound machines work with three brass instrumentalists to create a nonlinear, ever-changing musical structures. The sound machines produce different tones of the natural overtone series and musicians play specific tunings related to those of the machines, exploring common resonances and the spaces in between. We play the first version of this new piece on Friday 22 September in Berlin at KM28, as part of our Well Tuned Brass 2023 series!
