We have been working more with Juan Felipe Waller on his composition "Die sprechenden Stummen" which we first presented last year. The centrepiece of this composition is research which investigates the role of the mutes that the instruments normally use to dampen their sound or change the tone of their instruments. The transformation gives the mutes another layer of participation within their original purpose. More information about the piece can be read here:
